Project Description

Executive design and execution of works for Vesuvio State Road No. 268 at Angri

Based on a previously-approved project with CIPE funding only partially executed in the ’90s on account of an illegal Solid Urban Waste dump near the Angri interchange that had altered local physical characteristics and precluded the continuation of work, the 22 works included constructing the Angri-Salerno interchange to link traffic with Vesuvio State Road No. 268 and the A3 Napoli-Autostrada (completing the vital traffic circulation ring around the Mt. Vesuvius Eruption Risk area), constructing an elevated toll highway interchange for smoother inbound/outbound traffic, widening the interchange on former State Road No. 18, adding two ramps that permit maneuvers in all directions, and building the two Corbara and Scafati link roads for better connections between Angri, Sant’Antonio Abate, and Scafati.
