Restructuring of Di Cristina Hospital

Highly-specialized in services for pediatric and adolescent patients, Palermo’s Di Cristina Hospital hosts clinical research activities and provides basic and post-graduate training for students of the University of Palermo Faculty of Pediatrics.

Renovation involved demolition and the construction of new rooms, new blocks, and connecting wings between the hospital’s various buildings. Hospital activities continued without interruption in existing areas during renovation as the designated uses of certain buildings changed to suit the new volumes under construction.
