Project Description
Executive design and construction of Padua’s new Convention Hall.
Vittadello played a key role in the engineering and construction of Padua’s new Convention Hall designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. Offering uniquely contemporary and flexible space, this architectural jewel capable of hosting events for more than 3,300 people is distinguished by international levels of design, function, and technology
The soaring atrium with wooden roof serves as hub to the other areas and gateway to the trade fairgrounds. Structures can be modulated to different events and audiences as required. The spacious elevated plaza outside is enclosed in a tall wooden colonnade. A staircase overlooks the boulevard with a monumental portal framing the main entrance. Energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly solutions meet today’s most demanding standards.
