Modernization and upgrading of the section between km 69+500 and 146+800 – Lot No. 3, Section 1 1 – from km 88+357 to km 93+400

This upgrade of Carlo Felice State Highway SS 131 was required to bring it up to C.N.R. III Standard. A new embankment was built adjacent to the existing structure for the south-north roadway to a total length of around 5 km.

The most demanding work was the 400 m long S. Giusta viaduct. The deck features 12 spans with prestressed concrete beams. The foundations are on large-diameter piles. Another 6 works with single spans of between 12 and 16 m long were also completed.
