The 999 kW biogas plant powered by livestock manure in this area seized from Francesco Schiavone and assigned to Agrorinasce Consortium was built by Intercantieri Group through the Power Rinasce company. The plant also features a nitrogen abatement system that lets digestate be spread on the land in compliance with the provisions of the Nitrates directive. This is the largest private investment made in Italy on land confiscated from the Mafia.
