Construction of a building for Ca’ Foscari University laboratories
Built for Ca’ Foscari University on the Scientific Campus along Via Torino, Mestre – Venice, the Epsilon building houses offices, private studios, meeting rooms, and laboratories. With 5,000 m² total floorspace and nearly 22,000 m³volume on four floors above ground, the trapezoidal floorplan has a gallery roof over the ground floor. Differing widely one from the next, the facades feature large openings on one side and narrow ribbon windows on the other.
Supported by a metal structure, the exterior curtain walls are in a precise mix of materials that ensures high acoustic and thermal comfort. The entire building is coated in a zinc-titanium sheath
